Overview

Baker Mountain Guides Crack Climbing Clinic is the premier introduction to crack climbing. Students will learn the fundamentals of jamming technique. Instructors will coach climbers through the various crack sizes and provide real-time feedback. Students will climb classic cracks and learn the techniques they need to climb efficiently and place gear with ease.

Baker Mountain Guides custom course flow meets climbers where they are at. We build upon our students existing skills in order to provide everyone with the most pertinent information. Our local knowledge will foster your growth.


Itinerary

Baker Mountain Guides offers scheduled 2 day Crack Climbing Clinics in Washington, Utah, and British Columbia.


  • Day 1: Crack Climbing Technique

    Day one begins with taping. We will learn functional tape glove techniques and get ropes hung on classic crack climbs. Instructors will demo the requisite jams, and break each down into a few key principles. Our instructors often hang on a rope adjacent to the climb so that we can provide real time instruction.


  • Day 2: Mileage

    Day two is focused on getting climbers on the rock as much as possible. Expect a full day on routes. We will do as much climbing as possible and get students experience on all widths of cracks.
