Mount Baker Ski Descents are iconic ski mountaineering objectives. Massive winter storms bury the mountain each season, and the resulting glaciation is extensive. Heavy snow fills in the crevasses and transforms the glaciers into smooth, sweeping fields of white. Mount Baker rises 7,000+ feet from most trailheads, and any descent is over a vertical mile of skiing.

Baker Mountain Guides offers Mount Baker Ski Descents of the Coleman Deming, Easton Glacier, and Boulder Glacier Routes. Our local knowledge of the terrain and current conditions allows us to deliver the best descent and snow quality to our clientele.

Baker Mountain Guides offers scheduled one-day and two-day ski descents of Mount Baker. Custom dates available.

  • Day 1: Approach / Approach and Ski Descent

Your guide will conduct a meet-and-greet and gear check, and supply guests with group equipment if necessary. Two-day descents will camp between 6000 & 7000 ft. One-day descents will summit Mount Baker and ski back to the trail head.

  • Day 2: Summit and Ski

Summit day will begin long before dawn. We’ll skin as high as possible, switch to crampons, and continue to the top. All descents off the summit begin with a steep headwall and gradually ease into endless blue runs to the trailhead.
