Overview

Baker Mountain Guides AIARE Avalanche Rescue Course is a pre-requisite for both the AIARE Level 2 Avalanche Course, and the AIARE Pro 1 Avalanche Course. Students can expect to learn fundamental avalanche rescue skills for both single and multiple burials. Instructors will facilitate realistic practice scenarios and provide mentorship and feedback.

Baker Mountain Guides instructors are passionate backcountry skiers and snowboarders who believe that avalanche education has the power to save lives. These values are reflected in the quality of our Avalanche Rescue Course.


Itinerary

Baker Mountain Guides offers scheduled 1-day AIARE avalanche rescue courses. Custom dates available upon request.


  • Single Day

    Instructors will cover beacon wear and care, search organization and phases, probing, strategic shoveling, and evac in the context of both single and multiple burials. Students will have the opportunity to practice and apply these avalanche rescue skills in numerous mock scenarios.
