Backcountry Pro 3 Course

The Backcountry Pro 3 Course is the last installment in Baker Mountain Guides BC Pro series. Students will travel to Valdez, Alaska, to push their limits in the birthplace of big mountain skiing and snowboarding. Instruction in the unique demands of skiing and riding massive, glaciated terrain will prepare students for a multi-day basecamp expedition into the heart of the Chugach Mountains. Out there somewhere, you’ll discover your final exam.

Backcountry Pro 2 Course

Baker Mountain Guides Backcountry Pro 2 Course is designed to prepare competent backcountry skiers and snowboarders with the technical skills and experience necessary to explore big mountains in complex, glaciated terrain. The magnificent Coast Range of British Columbia will serve as our classroom and inspiration. Alpine huts and overnight tours allow for experiential training opportunities, and big descents on Canada’s greatest icefields.

Intro to Backcountry Course

The beauty of the backcountry is that there are no rules. However, there are skills and techniques that will help you get the most out of your experience and increase your margin of safety. Baker Mountain Guides Intro to Backcountry Skiing and Snowboarding Course is designed to teach the fundamentals of backcountry travel, and take you from the ski lifts to the skin track.
